How to Clean Any Cast Iron Tub - Non-Slip Texture (Must Watch) So Easy
In this video I show the best way to clean any Cast Iron Tub. Especially tubs that have a non-slip texture or a anti-slip texture. When I remodeled my shower, nothing was easy. I had to work around baseboard steam heaters and I knew I wanted solid full slab walls. So, when I was finished, I wanted to find the best way to keep this tub looking new for decades. Then I came across this Kohler cast iron cleaner. What a game changer. This stuff is safe on all cast iron tubs, and is amazing how it dissolves soap scum and stains. It's a must have if you own a cast iron tub or sink. Pick up a couple bottles for sure. You will thank me later. And if you haven't used a Magic Eraser yet, It's time to get in the game. These things are a must have. I always have a box on hand.
Thanks for watching. More on the way.

    Hallelujah! My Tea-for-Two has been saved!! I thought I was going have to look at the river of rust that coursed the entire length of the tub from the faucet to the drain for the rest of my days. Pardon the imagery, but it looked like a crime scene. There are at least a couple long stories around this as to how it go that way, such as, why it happened and why I couldn't get to it for over a year, etc. Before all that happened I thought I would never get the anti-slip to look new ever again until saw this video. Holy moly! It looks better than it did before my plumbing puked rust! Thank you so much for this. When I buy the Kohler cast iron cleaner (I have second Tea-for-Two and two Kohler toilets) I'll be sure to click through here. BTW- Loved your intro. And, your music is great. I was a figure skater and took notice that in this video there are several excellent choreographic moments - tub-cleaning to music or vice versa? Thank you!

    A small bead of silicone is fine to hold the sink but don't let it ooze out to use as the caulk. Silicone doesn't clean up well when dirty and and thin edge from working it will peel up after time if scrubbing. It may look pretty at first but it won't take long to look grungy. And the clear yellows.

    My seam on my granite countertop deteriorated in the past decade and water seeps into the drawer below it. Do they sell any smaller kits for this type of repair? It's a cream/white color counter. So all I really need is the epoxy and color mix?

    • @GraniteByJay
      @GraniteByJay 8 місяців тому

      Not sure where you are located, but best option is to find your local granite fabricator. Bring a picture of your granite. And just ask for a small amount mixed up for that color. Hardener on the side. We hook people up all the time, and it better than spending over $100 for all the pieces parts you need. Just don't use silicone or chalking to fill the seam. Only reason is because if you ever want it done with epoxy down the road, Its almost impossible to clean it out good enough to get the epoxy to adhere. Hope this help. Thanks for reaching out.
